Filippo Mavrothalassitis is a Water Innovation Hub Fellow at ClimateHaven, where he supports research, analysis, and partnership development efforts focused on advancing water technologies and strengthening connections between startups, utilities, and industry stakeholders. His work contributes to the Hub’s mission to accelerate data-driven solutions that improve water use across industrial and municipal systems.Filippo is an energy and environmental economist by training, with deep expertise in energy markets, renewable energy credit structures, and carbon markets across the Northeastern United States. His interests lie at the intersection of industrial symbiosis and water systems, with a particular focus on how water is used, reused, and ultimately disposed of in agricultural and industrial processes.With a strong foundation in analytical rigor and environmental insight, Filippo is motivated to support organizations building transparent, market-informed pathways toward more efficient and sustainable water use. Outside of his work at ClimateHaven, he is driven by a curiosity for systems-level solutions that align economic incentives with environmental outcomes.
