Lumisa Bista (she/they) is an Incubator Fellow at ClimateHaven, where they support research and startup development.Lumisa holds a Bachelor's in Astronomy from Yale and is pursuing a Master's in Data Science at Harvard. Alongside their degree, they work as a systems consultant at JusticeLink, an Annie E. Casey Foundation-supported community for youth justice reformers, and on the data team at Sunrise Movement, a youth-led climate justice movement.Through their work at ClimateHaven, Lumisa hopes to learn more about the connective tissue between physical climate tech infrastructure and data, both in terms of how it is collected and how it is used, and ultimately better understand the context founders in this sector are building in. Having previously spent time on financial research and organizing in relation to the climate space, she is also curious about how a data and research background may eventually connect to sustainability investing. Over the course of her upcoming summer in New Haven, she is excited to reconnect with old friends, bike along the Farmington Canal Trail, and update her reading log as often as possible.
